  • Adult Self-Defense classes are conducted every Wednesday night at 8pm
  • Martial Arts Clinics and Seminars are conducted on Weekends and include Karate, Self-Defense, Breaking, Kata, Weapons, Tournament Preps.
  • We offer Martial Arts classes seven days a week including Day, Night and Weekend Programs.

    What we do: The Dragon Force Karate Demo Team are ambassadors of the Ryoshin-Kan Karate School in Virginia Beach , Virginia. We perform at various community and social events to bring awareness to the benefits of a structured martial arts program.
    The Dragon Force Karate Demo Team and the Ryoshin-Kan Karate School were established by their Founder / Director, Shihan Tim Thompson in 1980.
    *Dragon Force National Team:
    The Dragon Force National Karate Team was established by Shihan Tim Thompson in 1995. The Dragon Force National Team performs Karate Shows and competes at National Championships. Members of the Dragon Force National Team are selected from the star performers of the main Dragon Force Karate Demo Team.
    Shihan Tim Thompson's outstanding Dragon Force National Team has won National / World Championships in 1996, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008.
    Dragon Force is the First Demo Team to Win the World Cup Martial Arts Championships three years in a Row! Go...Go Dragon Force !
    Shihan (Master) Thompson, 7th Dan: is a true Martial Arts Master. He is a World & National Martial Arts Champion and he has been inducted into the Hall of Fames five times. He is the Official OMAA Virginia State Director, RMAA National Director, and a Member of the World Stuntmans Association. Dr. / Shihan Tim Thompson is a distinguish member of the Board of Directors of the Scientific Council of FIMA University. He is a retired decorated Navy Officer and a graduate of both VMI and FIMA University.

    Well Done to the Dragon Force Demo Team on performing a Great Show at this Celebration on 4 May at Mt. Trashmore in Virginia Beach. The Weather was Beautiful and the performances were Hot!
  • 2008 EAST COAST KARATE CHAMPIONS:
    Congrats to the Ryoshin-Kan Karate School on winning 12 plus 1st Place Trophies at the 2008 East Coast Martial Arts Championships. "Dragon Force Rocked this Tournament !"
  • GREAT BREAKING / SELF-DEFENSE CLINICS:
    Well done to all participants of the Breaking / Self-Defense clinics taught in January, February, March, April.
