I. GREAT CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY KARATE SHOW! - Well Done to all Ryoshin-Kan / Dragon Force Participants at
the 23rd Annual Christmas Karate Show performed on 21 December 2006 at the Gallery at Military Circle. All routines planned
and unplanned were great and fun! I want to Thank all students, parents, guest, friends and fans for your support.
A Special Thank you goes out to Sensei Steve Borloz, Sensei Michael Wilkins, Sempai Michael Milliman, Sempai Mike Bartha,
Sempai Nami Dao, Sempai Bella Bartha and Leo Navarro for helping with the load out / transport of equipment to the show.
The TAS TV Show will be showing our Christmas Karate Show on COX Cable throughout the Holiday period. It will show on
TV for two weeks on on the TAS TV Sports Show on Cox Cable Channel 11. Check out the show on COX Cable Channel 11 on Sunday

II. CONGRATULATIONS to SENSEI THOMPSON Ph.D Degree: Well done to Sensei Tim Thompson on passing his Doctorate
/ Ph.D in Martial Arts / Science Degree Requirements established by the International Martial Arts University and World College.
His Goshinjitsu and Combat Speed Thesis will soon be available in a Book and on CD.

"Best Karate Students in the U.S.A."
I. GREAT ! Black Belt Exam and Awards Banquet - Congratulations and Well done to the Ryoshin-Kan Karate
School on an Outstanding 23rd Annual Black Belt Exam and Awards Banquet that were conducted on 16 December 2006. We also celebrated
the 26th Anniversary of the Ryoshin-Kan Karate School and the Dragon Force Demo Team. The 23rd Annual Black Belt Awards Banquet
was conducted at the Formosa Super Buffet Restaurant located on Virginia Beach Blvd in Virginia Beach, Virginia. We had Sixty-eight
Black / Brown Belts and guest attend the Banquet which was a formal affair. Sensei Thompson gave out over one hundred awards,
including Black Belt Promotion Diplomas / Certifications, Shidoin Certification, Certificates of Appreciation, Dragon Force
Demo Team Awards, Dragon Force National Team Appointments, National Team Champion Awards, Fourteen Special Plaques and numerous
other awards. The Banquet and Exam were a success due to the hard work and devotion of all the Black Belts and Parents. For

II. CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY DECORATIONS at RYOSHIN-KAN - The Ryoshin-Kan Karate School is Fully Decorated for
the Christmas Holiday. The following outstanding students decorated the Karate School on 9 December. Michael Wilkins, Michael
Milliman, Trey Torres, Andrew DiJoseph, Bella Bartha, Joshua Taylor, Estebon Martinez, Trent DePeralta and Tristan Bishop.
A Special Thank You to Sharon DePeralta and Bella Bartha for Bringing Christmas cookies. After the students decorated they
ate cookies, watched Christmas Holiday cartoons and participated in Karate Class. Congratulations and Well Done !
III. BLACK AND BROWN PHYSICAL FITNESS TEST - Congratulations and Well done to the Thirty-four Black &
Brown Belt students who completed their Black Belt physical fitness test in December 2006. The Black Belt PT Test consist
of 100 push ups, 100 sit ups, 10 handstand push ups, and a Full Kata Review. Well Done !
IV. HOLIDAY KARATE SHOW: The Ryoshin-Kan Karate School's 23rd annual Christmas Karate Show will be conducted
at the Military Circle Mall on Saturday 21 December 2006 at 7pm. This is an entire Ryoshin-Kan School event. All Students
will perform and / or help at these shows. There will be separate e-mail and flyers for these shows. Pick up a Christmas Karate
Show Flyer up at the Ryoshin-Kan Karate School. The Karate Show highlights will be shown on the TAS TV Show on COX Cable Channel

1:) HOLIDAY SPECIAL KARATE CLASS: -
We had outstanding and fun Karate classes at the Ryoshin-Kan Karate School
on 24 / 25 NOV '06. We had a total student load of 89. The following Ryoshin-Kan students who were home for the Thanksgiving
Holiday also participated.
Sensei Michael Lombardo, 3rd Degree Black Belt: He was
inducted into the World Karate Union Hall of Fame with me in 2001. We were awarded the "National Goshinjitsu Team of the Year."
Michael is one of my most loyal and Top Black Belts. He is a graduate of George Mason University and he is currently working
in Northern Virginia.
Sempai Keith Parker, 2nd Degree Black Belt: He is in the
Marine Corps and doing great. He was awarded several Military Decorations including the Purple Heart. Keith is one of my most
loyal and Top Black Belts. "Semper Fi"
Sempai Ashley Morse, 2nd Degree Black Belt: She is married
and lives with her husband who is stationed at Fort Bragg. Ashley and her husband have decided to study at the Ryoshin-Kan
Karate School. Ashley is also one of my most loyal and Top Black Belts.
All three of the above students will be attending the Ryoshin-Kan Black
Belt Exam on 16 December 2006. Congratulations to all who participated.
2:) CONGRATULATIONS TO BROWN BELTS:
Congratulations and Well done to Billy Wagner and Braxton Zivic on their
outstanding performance at their Brown Belt Test that was conducted on 30 November 2006.

3:) TV SPECIAL & NATIONAL TEAM. -
The Dragon Force National Karate Team and highlights from the Ryoshin-Kan Karate School events were recently shown on the
TAS TV Show on COX Cable Channel 11. The TAS will also be filming our 2006 Christmas Karate Show.
The Dragon Force National Team conducted a special video filming of their
outstanding routines on 19 November 2006. The Special video was shown during demo and Kyu Belt Classes.

1:) MAYOR'S AWARD
- Sensei Tim Thompson received the Chairman's Award at the City of Virginia Beach Environmental Service Awards Ceremony on
20 October 2006. The award was presented by the Mayor of Virginia Beach, Mrs. Meyera Oberndorf. The Dragon Force Karate Demo
Team was mentioned in their Program. The award was for Ryoshin-Kan Karate School's outstanding performance at City Events
like the Earth Day Celebration and the Strawberry Festival. Attending the Ceremony with Sensei Thompson was his student Sempai
Lynwood Yeatts. CONGRATULATIONS !

2006 World Fall Classic Martial Arts Champions Posted on October 5, 2006
USA KARATE CHAMPIONS
The Ryoshin-Kan Karate School's Dragon Force National Team from Virginia Beach, Virginia won 1st Place in Team
and Individual Divisions overall they did outstanding at the at the 2006 World Fall Classic Martial Arts Championships conducted
17 September 2006 at Hampton University in Hampton, Virginia. Team Dragon Force had Thirty-Five participants from Ryoshin-Kan
that represented their Dojo at the 2006 World Fall Classic Martial Arts Championships. They won ten 1st Place Trophies in
Self-Defense, Demo Team, Weapons, Kata, Kumite, Musical Kata, and Musical Weapons. Team Dragon Force won a Total of thirty-one
Trophies. The Dragon Force National Team did outstanding in all events and they had all of the spectators cheering. The Founder
and Director of the Ryoshin-Kan Karate School and the Dragon Force National Karate Demo Team is Karate Master (Shihan) Tim
Thompson. He is a 7th degree Black Belt, Hall of Famer, National Champion and a retired decorated Navy Commander. Team Dragon
Force also won 1st Place in Team and Individual events at the 2006 East Coast Championships, US Open Championships and at
the 2006 Sidekick International Martial Arts Championships.
3:) EXCELLENT SENSEI THOMPSON SEMINARS - Congratulations to the 43 Total participants of the
Sensei Thompson Self-Defense Seminar series conducted at the Sifen Engineering Corp. / Mini Storage Main Office on 6 and 20
October 2006. Assisting Sensei Thompson was his students Sensei Michael Wilkins and Sempai Billy Wagner. Topics covered Self-Defense
tips, awareness, techniques, and youth safety. Congratulations and Well Done to all. NOTE: We have several more Seminars to

4:) CONGRATULATIONS on KYU Belt Test - Well Done to all Students who participated in the Kyu
Belt Test conducted 26 / 27 October 2006.
The definition of the word "Kyu" is "a rank / grade designation signifying a level of achievement below Black
Belt in the Japanese / Okinawan Martial Disciplines." The Ryoshin-Kan Rank Structure for Kyu Belts is White - 10th Kyu, Gold
- 9th Kyu, Purple - 8th Kyu, Green - 7th Kyu, Grenn w/ blue stripe - 6th Kyu, Blue - 5th Kyu, Blue w/ brown stripe - 4th Kyu,
Brown - 3rd Kyu, Brow w/ one black stripe - 2nd Kyu, Brown w/ two black stripes - 1st Kyu.
The Dan Ranks are Black Belt ranks that go from Shodan 1st Dan to Judan 10th Dan.

5:) DRAGON FORCE Karate Show on TAS TV: The Dragon Force Karate Show that was performed at
the October Red Ribbon Festival will be shown on the TAS TV Show on COX Cable Channel 11 on Sunday 29 October 2006 at 7:30pm.
The TAS also will do a TV special about Ryoshin-Kan during that Time. Portions of the demo were also filmed and shown on Channel
13 News.

1:) US OPEN / DISNEY WORLD TRIP:Congratulations
and Well Done to the Ryoshin-Kan Karate School's Dragon Force National Team on an outstanding performance at the US OPEN /
ISKA World Martial Arts Championships that were conducted on June 30th and July 1st , 2006 at The Coronado Springs Resort
Hotel and Convention Center in Disney World, Florida, USA. This is the largest Tournament that we participate in. There were
over 1500 competitors. There were between 15 to 40 competitors in each division. The competitors were from all 50 states as
well as Teams from Germany, France, Chezk Republic, United Kingdom, Australia, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, China, Japan, Russia
etc...The event will be shown on ESPN2.
KARATE CHAMPIONS: All of you are Karate Champions ! We had 23 participants
from Ryoshin-Kan that represented our Dojo at this US Open Championships. We won a Total of ten Trophies in Demo Team, Self-Defense,
Weapons, Kata, Kumite, Musical Kata, Musical Weapons, Creative Forms and Extreme Weapons. The Dragon Force National Team did
outstanding in all events and they had all of the spectators cheering. All Ryoshin-Kan Students did really well. I am really
proud of the whole group.
PRIVATE LESSONS: I taught a mini Seminar / Private Lesson to Jerimy Brecheen
and several of my students who practice out of the United Kingdom and several other states. Jerimy has a Dojo in Pensacola
Florida and he is my RMAA Florida Connection. We also filmed the two steps self-defense. Jerimy was a big help and he supported
our team at the US Open.
JUDGES: Congratulations to Sensei Michael Wilkins and Sempai Lynwood
Yeatts on doing an excellent job of Judging at the US Open. They attended special meetings, luncheons and they judges all
day everyday. They also got several of us VIP passes for the night time Finals. Well Done!
DISNEY WORLD: We all had a Great Time at Disney World, Sea World and
through out the resort area.

2:) SIDEKICK INTERNATIONAL MARTIAL
ARTS CHAMPIONSHIPS: World Cup Qualified ! Congratulations and Well Done to the Ryoshin-Kan Karate School's Dragon Force National
Team on an outstanding performance at the at the 2006 Sidekick International Martial Arts Championships to be conducted 21
& 22 July 2006 in Vienna, Virginia. We are now Qualified to go to the 2007 World Cup Finals Martial Arts Championships.
KARATE CHAMPIONS: All of you are Karate Champions ! We had twenty four participants from Ryoshin-Kan that represented our

3:)GREAT KARATE SUMMER DAY CAMP
This Excellent Summer Program was conducted at the Ryoshin-Kan Karate School from 17 June to 31 August 2006. We had thirty-Five
Adult / Kid participants. The Camp included Martial Arts Training, Camps, Games, Contest, Field Trips, Ocean Breeze Water
Park, Mt. Trashmore Kids Kove, Movie Trips, Cinema Cafe, Ferry Boat Ride, Virginia Marine Science Museum, Children's Museum
and lots of Fun.
A Special Thank You to Mrs. Thompson (Sensei's wife)and all Participating
Adult /Junior Black Belts for assisting Sensei at this Camp.
Congratulations and Well done to all Participants.

1:) OUTSTANDING GOSHINJITSU
SEMINAR: Congratulations and Well done to the 42 participants of the Goshinjitsu (self-defense) Seminar by Grand Master Dale
Stengele conducted at the Ryoshin-Kan Karate School on Saturday 10 June 2006. The participants were taught realistic self-defense
techniques by Grand Master Stengele who is a 10th Degree Black Belt, Hall of Famer, USMC Veteran and President / Founder of
the OMAA. The Seminar was fun and educational. Grand Master Stengele did an outstanding Job on teaching the Seminar. Sensei
Thompson is the Virginia State Director for the OMAA.
2:) GREAT DRAGON FORCE KARATE
SHOWs & Demos: Congratulations and Well Done to the Ryoshin-Kan Karate School and the Dragon Force Karate Demo Team on
performing outstanding Karate Demos at Christopher Farms Elementary School on 9 June, Military Circle Mall on 17 June and
at the Grand Opening of the USANKF Martial Arts Center on 17 June 2006. FYI, Sensei Thompson is one of the Directors of the
USANKF of Virginia.
All Routines were great especially the Board Breaks, Martial Arts Stunts
/ Acrobatics, Self-Defense, Musical Weapons Routines, Individual and Group Karate / Kobudo routines. A Special Thank you to
all Parents, Friends and fans who supported us.
Well done to Mike Bartha who was instrumental in setting up this demo
and helping with the load out and set up. Congratulations to all on a Job well done!

1:) STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL PARADE
& KARATE DEMO 2006: Congratulations and Well done to the entire Ryoshin-Kan Karate School, Dragon Force Demo Team, parents,
relatives, friends and fans on your participation / performance at the 2006 Pungo Strawberry Festival parade and Karate Show.
We had 75 folks in our unit that participated in the Strawberry Parade on 27 May. The excellent two floats consisted of Ron
Boone's Black Truck pulling a fully decorated Float and the other float was Mike Bartha's black truck. The Drum Corps, Color
Guard, Banner Team did a super Job of leading the Floats. Sensei Steve Borloz did great as my number one assistant in this
parade. Sensei Michael Wilkins did excellent as the Drum Corps and Parade Instructor. The parents and students who help to
prep and be with the floats were second to none. We received a Special Pungo Strawberry Festival Award. The Strawberry Festival
Dragon Force Karate Show was on 28 May and we had thirty-two (32) performers performing for huge numbers of cheering spectators.
All routines were outstanding. We gave out over 1, 250 Karate School fliers. This was Ryoshin-Kan's 18th year in performing
at the Strawberry Festival. NOTE: If you got one of the special Strawberry Karate T-shirts that had a special design code
bring it in to get your gift certificate. THANK YOU ! A Special Thank you for a Job well done goes to Sempai Mike Bartha.
He was instrumental in the load out, transportation and performing at this festival. Thank you to all who supported Ryoshin-Kan
at the 2006 Strawberry Festival. You all are the reason why we are number one ! Congratulations and Well done to All

3:)GOSHINJITSU SEMINAR: Grand
Master Dale Stengele (O.M.A.A. Founder) will be conducting a Goshinjitsu (self-defense) Seminar at the Ryoshin-Kan Karate
School on 10 June 2006. This seminar is required for all Ryoshin-Kan Karate School and Association Instructors & Students.
Grand Master Stengele is a 10th Dan Martial Artist,Hall of Famer, a retired USMC Veteran a close friend and one of my teachers.
He promted Sensei Thompson to 7th Dan Master Instructor plus made him the Official Virginia State Director of the O.M.A.A.
FYI, Shihan Tim Thompson and the Ryoshin-Kan Karate School are Official members of the O.M.A.A., WKUHOF, WMAHOF, WBBMAHOF,
USANKF and the World Cup Martial Arts Organization (WCMAO). The Ryoshin-Kan Karate School Philosophy, Training, Sportsmanship
and Positive Attitude /Spirit will be in accordance with the above organizations.
4:) KARATE SUMMER DAY CAMP *

East Coast Karate Champions! Ryoshin-Kan Karate School & Dragon Force National Team won 35 Trophies including 12 First

2:)TITLE BELT AWARD: Dragon
Force received a Championships Title Belt Award from the Promoters of the WKKO Events. The Award Honors our Dragon Force National
Karate Team on winning National Championships and for performing Demos at East Coast classic & Xtreme Kickboxing Events.

3:) GREAT DRAGON FORCE KARATE
SHOW: The Dragon Force Karate Demo Team performed an outstanding Karate Show at the Military Circle Mall in Norfolk, Virginia
on 22 April 2006. Congratulations and Well done to the Ryoshin-Kan Karate School and the Dragon Force Demo Team on your superb
performances.
4:)NEW RYOSHIN-KAN BROWN BELTS:
Congratulations and Well done to Billy Wagner(Adult), Ray Francisco (Teenager) and Sharon Reed (Child) for successfully passing
their Brown Belt Test that was conducted at the Ryoshin-Kan Karate School on 20 April & 4 May 2006. Both were promoted
with Honors to Brown Belt 3rd Kyu. We had 25 Ryoshin-Kan Black , Brown, Blue and Green Belt students that participated. Congratulations
and Well Done to Billy, Sharon, All Instructors, Assistants and to all Ryoshin-Kan Participants.
5:)DEMO TEAM TRYOUTS RESULTS: Congratulations to the following students

1:) GREAT DRAGON FORCE KARATE
SHOWS: The Dragon Force Karate Demo Team performed four outstanding Karate Demos and Shows through out the area during February
and March, including Military Circle Mall in Norfolk, Virginia and the Ocean Front in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The large
number of spectators cheering for the Ryoshin-Kan / Dragon Force performers enjoyed our Karate Show. All Routines were great
especially the Patio Block / Board Breaks, Martial Arts Stunts / Acrobatics, Kama X-Team, Individual and Group Karate / Kobudo
routines. Mike Bartha did outstanding on the Breaking Routine that I taught him. He set a new Ryoshin-Kan School record with
his power break of 4 patio brick blocks! Congratulations and Well done to the Ryoshin-Kan Karate School and the Dragon Force
Demo Team on your superb performances.
2:)GRAND MASTERS SEMINARS &

1:) BUSHIDO CAMP 2005: The 16 Annual Bushido Camp that was conducted
10, 11 & 12 November 2005 was outstanding. We had 19 Black & Brown Belts attend this special training. We hiked a
total of 10 miles, Practiced Kata & self-defense and we had lots of Fun ! A Special Thank You to my following Loyal Assistants
who helped at this Camp, Sensei Steve Borloz, Sensei Min Lee, Sempai Zachary Thomas, & Sempai Mike Bartha. Congratulations

3:( Mr Miyagi Dies... Mr. Pat Morita who was best known for helping teach a boy Karate
through household chores as the wise Mr. Miyagi in "The Karate Kid," has died. He was 73. Generation of Fans grew up doing
the Crane Kick made famous by Mr. Miyagi of Karate Kid fame. He will be missed by all, may he rest in peace.
4:)BLACK & BROWN PT TEST & REVIEW Congratulations and Well
done to the twenty-eight (28)Black & Brown Belts who took the Physical Fitness Test on Saturday 26 November 2005. They
did 100 push ups, 100 sit ups, 10 handstand push ups and a Full Kata Review. We also worked on Sword Techniques, Weapons,
one steps, two steps and self-defense. It was good to see Sensei Michael Lombardo and Sempai Teddy Katayama in action during
the PT Test & review. We had several Black Belts, that were home from college, visit and train at Ryoshin-Kan this week.
We still have about 22 Black & Brown Belts who have to take the test because they were out of town or had to work. We
will conduct make up test in November & December 2005. The Black & Brown Belt PT Test is an Annual Ryoshin-Kan Requirement.
The Black Belt Exam and Formal Awards Banquet will be conducted 3 December 2005.
5:) CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY KARATE SHOWS - TWO GREAT PERFORMANCES- The Ryoshin-Kan
Karate School's 22nd annual Christmas Karate Shows will be conducted at the Military Circle Mall on Saturday 10 December and
Saturday 17 December 2005. Both Shows start at 12:30pm. This is an entire Ryoshin-Kan School event. All Students will perform
and / or help at these shows.

2:) TOURNAMENT CHAMPS - Congratulations & Well Done to the Ryoshin-Kan / Dragon Force
National Team on their outstanding performance at the Mt. View Open Karate Championships that was conducted 22 & 23 July

3:) KAMA X-TEAM - The Brand New and very dynamic Dragon Force Kama X-Team did outstanding
at the 2005 Mt. View Open Karate Championships. They will also perform this routine at the Circus in August. The awesome team
members are Sensei Thompson, Ashleigh Hunt, Zachary Thomas, Nami Dao, Joshua Ebreo, Natalie Ebreo and Ashley Boone.
4:) KARATE SUMMER DAY CAMP - The Ryoshin-Kan Karate School's Karate Summer Day Camp has
been a great success. The participants of this summer day camp have practice Karate / Kobudo, Martial Arts Mini Seminars,

I.)SUPERB NAVAL STATION KARATE DEMO: The Ryoshin-Kan / Dragon Force Demo Team performed
an outstanding Martial Arts Demo on Monday 23 May 2005 at the Afloat Training Group Command located on the Norfolk Naval Station.
The entire group did well and we had lots of fun. We performed Kata, board breaking, weapons and self-defense. Well done to
Mike Bartha, Ron Boone, Jimmy Adams and Billy Wagner who performed with me at this demo. The Navy Command were having their
Asian-Pacific festival and we were the entertainment. We had a standing ovation at the end of our demo. Congratulations and
Well done to the above Ryoshin-Kan students who made the demo a success and a special thank you to Mike Bartha for setting
the demo up. 2.)GREAT STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL 2005: Congratulations and Well done to
the entire Ryoshin-Kan Karate School, Dragon Force Demo Team, parents, relatives, friends and fans on your participation /
performance at the 2005 Pungo Strawberry Festival parade and Karate Show. We had 71 folks in our unit that participated in
the Strawberry Parade on 28 May. The two floats provided by Ron Boone were excellent. Darci Reed use her red truck to pull
one float and the other float was pulled by Mike Bartha's black truck. The Drum Corps, Color Guard, Banner Team did a super
Job of leading the Floats. Sensei Steve Borloz did great as my number one assistant in this parade. The parents and students
who help to prep and be on the floats were second to none. The Strawberry Festival Dragon Force Karate Show was on 29 May
and we had 35 performers performing for huge numbers of cheering spectators. All routines were outstanding. This was Ryoshin-Kan's
17th year in performing at the Strawberry Festival. The Strawberry Karate T-shirts were awesome. We still have a few of these
Strawberry Karate T-shirts available. If you want one send me an e-mail. Thank you to all who supported Ryoshin-Kan at the

I.)SUPERB KARATE DEMO: The Ryoshin-Kan / Dragon Force Demo Team performed an outstanding
Martial Arts show this past Saturday 7 may 2005 at the Christopher Farms Elementary School Carnival. The entire group did
well and we had lots of fun. Well done to Sensei, Lynwood, Amanda, Ashleigh, Zachary, Morgan, BJ, Maurice, Alyssa, Nami, Ashley,
Ron, Darian, Sharon, Austin. We handed out a full box of Karate Flyers. Congratulations and Well done to the Ryoshin-Kan students,
Dragon Force Demo team, Parents, Friends and Fans. You are the reason why we are Number One!
II.) NEW CLASS SCHEDULE: The New Ryoshin-Kan Class Schedule is out. Make sure you pick
up one at the Dojo. The new schedule has fun and exciting classes through out the week such as basic sparring & self-defense
for Adults and Kids on Saturdays. There is also a Adult / Youth Kenjitsu (Art of the Samurai Sword) & Weapons class on
Saturdays. A special Thank you to Min Lee & several others for your input on the new schedule. Pick up a new schedule

I.) PROMOTIONS / ADVANCEMENTS: Congratulations to all those students who recently tested

two outstanding Martial Arts shows this pass weekend. They were conducted at the Gallery at the Military Circle Mall in Norfolk,
VA on 30 April 2005 and the Earth Day Festival at Mt. Trashmore in Virginia Beach, VA on 1 May 2005. All routines were great
especially the group routines and self-defense routines. Well done to Sensei, Steve, Michael, Matthew, Jason, Amanda, Andrew,
Milliman, Ashleigh, Zachary, Morgan, BJ, Maurice, Alyssa, Nami, Joshua, Zingin, Trey, Natalie, Bella, Ashley, Ron, Jimmy,

III.) NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY: Congratulations to Riemann Katayama and Matthew Voegel for

IV.) TOP ACHIEVEMENTS: Congratulations to Jason Brown and his team for receiving the highest
scores ever given at a Orchestra Tournament in Canada. Well done ! Congratulations to BJ and Alyssa Durdin on their Wildlife
fundraiser activity in support of the Youth Leadership Association. Well done!

NEWS #1: The Ryoshin-Kan Karate School and the Dragon Force Demo Team won First Place out
of 100 units at the 2004 Strawberry Festival Parade on Saturday 29 May. * STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL PARADE RESULTS: FIRST
(1st) PLACE... This is the first time that we ever won 1st Place for the Dragon Force / Ryoshin-Kan Float! Receiving
the Award was Sensei Tim Thompson. The Award was presented to us on the Strawberry Festival main stage by the Mayor of Virginia
Beach and the Strawberry Festival Staff. We had 117 people in our Ryoshin-Kan Parade unit.
* DRAGON FORCE KARATE SHOW: The Dragon Force Karate Show that was conducted on the Strawberry Stage on 30 May was outstanding
and it was our 16th annual performance at the Strawberry Festival. All Karate routines were great and they were performed
in front of record numbers of spectators. The highlights of the Dragon Force Show that got the biggest crowd response were
the Slow Motion Routine,Dragon Duet, Double Decker Nahanchi Routine (All), Board Breaks (All), and the large group synchronize
routines. Both the Strawberry Festival Parade and Demo were shown on Cox Cable TV. Congratulations and Well Done to all Instructors,
Students, Parents, Relatives and Fans.
NEWS #2: TOP NEWS 2004: NATIONAL CHAMPIONS: Congratulations to the Dragon Force National
Team on winning 1st Place and the Grand Championships in the Demo Team Division as well as 1st Place in the Self-Defense and
Kobudo divisions at the Sidekick International Martial Arts Championships conducted 30 / 31 July 2004 in the Washington, D.C.

NEWS #3: The Dragon Duet Team was featured on the Karate Kidz online news magazine concerning
their winning the 2004 Mid-Atlantic Team Pairs Championships.
NEWS #4: The Ryoshin-Kan Karate School and the Dragon Force Demo Team were featured as the
"Team of the Week" in the Virginian-Pilot Newspaper on 1 August 2004.
NEWS #5: Sensei Thompson and the Dragon Force National Team received Top awards at the Master
Yamashita Awards Banquet on 28 August 2004. "Best Team Pairs, Goshinjitsu National Champions and Demo Team National Champions."

Won 26 First Place trophies at the World Fall Classic Martial Arts Championships conducted at Hampton University on 10 October

Battle of USA National Champions
Ryoshin-Kan Qualified for the World Cup.
Congratulations and Well Done to the Ryoshin-Kan Karate School's Dragon Force National Team on an outstanding performance
at the 2005 Battle of USA Martial Arts Championships that were conducted 22 & 23 October 2005 in the Washington, D.C.
area. This was a National Championships and a World Cup State Qualifier. Ryoshin-Kan / Dragon Force are now WCMAO Qualified
and we will be going to the World Cup Martial Arts Finals in January 2006. WELL DONE ! We had 11 students
from Ryoshin-Kan that represented our Dojo and competed at the Battle of USA Tournament. We won a Total of 15 Trophies including
five 1st Place, four 2nd Place, Three 3rd Place, One Fourth Place and Two Finalist. The Dragon Force National Team did outstanding
in all events and they had all of the spectators cheering. All Ryoshin-Kan Students did really well. I am really proud of
the whole group.

Congratulations and Well Done to the Ryoshin-Kan / Team Dragon Force on an outstanding performance at the 2005 World
Fall Classic Martial Arts Championships that was conducted 16 October 2005 at the Hampton University in Hampton,
Virginia. We had 19 students from Ryoshin-Kan that represented our Dojo and competed at this Tournament. We won a Total of
28 Trophies including one Grand Championship, Twelve 1st Place, Nine 2nd Place, Three 3rd Place, One Fourth Place and Two
Finalist. This was the 7th Time since 1980 that a new Dragon Force National Team doing a new Demo Team / Forms routine (Kama
X-Team) won 1st Place in the Demo Team Division. The Dragon Force National Kama X-Team did outstanding and they had all of
the spectators cheering. All Ryoshin-Kan Students did really well.I am really proud of the whole group.

MT. VIEW KARATE CHAMPIONSHIPS RESULTS: 22 & 23 July - Hickory , N.C.
Congratulations and Well Done to the Ryoshin-Kan / Team Dragon Force on an excellent performance at the Mt. View Open
Karate Championships that was conducted 22 & 23 July 2005 in Hickory, North Carolina. This was a major 5 Star NBL National
Championship. This was the First Time since 1980 that a new Dragon Force team doing a new Team Forms routine made it to the
finals and got second place in a National Tournament. We almost beat the NBL Champions. Team Dragon Force did outstanding.
We won three 1st Place Trophies, eight 2nd Place Trophies and twelve 3rd thru Finalist Trophies. I am really proud of the
whole group.
