Keep up the Positive Champion Spirit!
I:) Great Breaking Clinics: Great Breaking Clinic and National Demo Team practice at the Ryoshin-Kan Karate School on 11 & 18 March 2012. I Broke two stacks of Seven (7) Stacked Bricks(total of 14 Bricks) with an elbow Strike, Plus I broke Bricks with palm strikes and I broke two boards with a Double Shuto (Knife Hand) strikes to both sides at the same time. Well Done to the Following Participants of the Tameshiwari (Breaking) Clinic on 11 March: Michael Milliman.– Palm strike breaks on Bricks, Maurice – Double round house kick breaks on boards, Patrick - Palm strike breaks on Bricks and a Board, Keegan – Double round house kick breaks on boards, Demetria – Elevated Round House Board Break, Chris – Elbow strike Board Break, Christy – Palm strike breaks on Bricks, Congrats to Christy Green and Patrick Johnston on breaking their 1st Brick.
 
II:) Excellent Tournament Training Clinics: Excellent Karate Tournament training and a Rock'n Good time on Friday nights and Saturday Morning / Afternoons at the Ryoshin-Kan Karate School. We always have a Great time with the Youth Karate Runway / Goshinjitsu Routine, Adult Kata / Weapons Kata / Complex, Sparring, Weapons training and Tournament Training Clinic.  Champions always gives 110% effort and Never Gives up. ***Commitment + Hardwork + Positive Spirit = Success! These are the trademarks of true Champions.

I:) Excellent Kyu Belt Testing: Congratulations and Well Done to all 35 Students who were Promoted to their Next Higher Belt Rank after the Kyu Belt Testing that was conducted on 24 February 2011 at the Ryoshin-Kan Karate School. All Students did very Well on their Belt Test. Well Done to the Following who Tested or Helped at the Kyu Belt Test: Hye Cha, Mike Milliman, Maurice, Keegan, Kai Loree, Chris,  Patrick, Joe, Demetria, Hayden, Quinn, Zachary, Stephen,  Dayjha, Nick Solt, Trent, Angel, Kai Cheek, Lyric, Tri Thach, Noah, Jaclyn, Logan Maguder, Dave, Elizah, David, Nicholas, Logan Shanor, Messay, Brenna, Caleb.  Well Done! 

II:) Dragon Force Rocked Norfolk SharX Pro Soccer Half Time 19 February 2012:   Congratulations to the Dragon Force National Karate Demo Team on performing an Awesome Karate Show during the HALF TIME of the NorfolK SharX MISL Pro indoor Soccer Game at the Norfolk Scope Arena on 19 February 2012. Team Dragon Force performed their Daredevil / Synchronized Karate Stunts and Routines in front of thousands of cheering spectators.  Dragon Force was really motivated and it was one of our Best Karate shows so far this year. Norfolk SharX had a very emotional come-from-behind Victory! The Event was televised on various channels and Videotaped. Well Done to the Dragon Force Demo Team *** Sensei Thompson, Michael Milliman, Maurice Reed, Keegan Grinspoon, Kai Loree, Chris Altman, Joe Ramirez, Demetria Ramirez, Patrick Johnston, Quinn Barson, Stephen Johnston and Dayjha Armstrong. Well Done and Thank You to all Parents/ Relatives, Students, Norfolk SharX Team, Cheerleaders, Mascot, Marcie, Coaches, Staff and Fans on your Outstanding Support. Special Thanks to Mrs. Lourie Altman for assisting Sensei with Team /Staff Support.

NOTE: NSU, ODU and Norfolk SharX all won their Games when Dragon Force Demo Team performed at Half-time at their Games in January and February 2012. OohYa!!!

III:)Great Basketball Semi Finals Half Time Karate Show 25 February 2012:   Awesome... Congrats and Well Done to the Dragon Force National Karate Demo Team on Rock'n the Norfolk Scope Arena with Energetic / Daredevil Karate Demo during the Halftime of the Eastern Regional Basketball Semi Finals Championships on 25 February 2012. The Thousands of cheering Spectators loved it.  OohYa!!! Well Done to the Dragon Force Demo Team *** Sensei Thompson, Michael Milliman, Maurice Reed, Keegan Grinspoon, Kai Loree, Chris Altman, Joe Ramirez, Demetria Ramirez, Patrick Johnston, Quinn Barson, Stephen Johnston and Dayjha Armstrong.

IV:) US Classic National Karate Champions 5 February 2012:  Awesome Performance by Team Ryoshin-Kan / Dragon Force!"
Congratulations and Well Done to the Ryoshin-Kan Karate School's "Team Dragon Force" on an outstanding performance and Impressive Victory at the US Classic National Open Karate Championships that were conducted in Virginia Beach, Virginia on 5 February 2012. 
We had a total of 65 Folks from Ryoshin-Kan Karate School, both Competitors and Parents / Relatives, that represented our Dojo to the highest level. Ryoshin-Kan / Team Dragon Force had 23 competitors who won a total of 76 Trophies and Medals including Team Demo Grand Champion National Trophy and 45 First Place Trophies.
The Dragon Force / Ryoshin-Kan Karate Team did outstanding in all Divisions.
All of you are Karate Champions!

I:) Awesome ODU University Half Time Karate Show:  Congratulations to the Dragon Force National Karate Demo Team on performing an Awesome Karate Show during the HALF TIME of the ODU vs George Mason University Basketball game at the Beautiful Ted Constant Convocation Center on the ODU Campus in Norfolk, Virginia on 29 January 2012. Team Dragon Force performed their Daredevil / Synchronized Karate Stunts and Routines in front of thousands of cheering spectators.  Dragon force was really motivated and it was our Best Karate show so far this year. The Event was televised on various channels and Videotaped. II:)Great NSU University Half Time Karate Shows:  Well Done to the Dragon Force National Karate Demo Team on performing two Great Karate Shows during the HALF TIME of the NSU vs University of Maryland (Men's and Women's) Basketball games at the Joseph Echols Hall Arena on the NSU Campus in Norfolk, Virginia on 7 January 2012. Team Dragon Force performed their Daredevil / Synchronized Karate Stunts and Sensei Thompson Broke two Stacks of Bricks for a Total of 10 Bricks in front of thousands of cheering spectators.  The Event was televised and Videotaped. Well Done to the Dragon Force Demo Team and all Parents/ Relatives on your Outstanding Performance and Support. III:) National Karate Champions: Congratulations and Well Done to the Ryoshin-Kan Karate School's "Team Dragon Force" on an outstanding performance and Impressive Victory at the 26th Battle of the Martial Arts National Championships that were conducted in Middle River, Maryland on 14 January 2012. The New Venue in the School Gymnasium was Awesome. The Entire Dragon Force Demo Team, Ryoshin-Kan Students, Golden Sun Students, Parents and Friends rode a Tour Bus to the Event. It was Great. We had a total of 65 Folks from our Karate Group, both Competitors and Parents / Relatives, that represented our Dojo to the highest level. New Brick Breaking Record!
 
Well Done to Kyoshi Tim Thompson on breaking Twelve (12) stacked Large Red Bricks with an downward Elbow Strike at 1400 (2 PM) on Sunday 2 August 2009 at the Ryoshin-Kan Karate School in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

This is a new Ryoshin-Kan Brick Breaking Record.

NOTE: Sensei Thompson also set the Ryoshin-Kan Record for Concrete Block breaking when he broke the 10 stacked Concrete Patio Blocks with an elbow strike back on 8/31 /2008.

Well Done to Sensei Thompson on breaking 10 stacked Concrete patio blocks with an downward Elbow Strike at 1830 (6:30 PM) on Sunday 31 August 2008 at the Ryoshin-Kan Karate School in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

This is a new Ryoshin-Kan Breaking Record for Concrete Blocks.

NOTE: Sensei Thompson also set the Ryoshin-Kan Record for brick breaking when he broke the 10 stacked large red bricks with an elbow strike back on 11/22 /2007. He recently broke 10 Large Bricks again on 2 November 2008. (See Photo)
